* Luigi Tagliasacchi has been in the restaurant business since he was a young man of fourteen. He learned the ropes from his father, also in the restaurant business. Luigi studied in Parma, Italy, was a co owner with his dad in a restaurant in East Hampton, NY for nine years, and has provided his food expertise for many wonderful customers and celebrities over the years. In 1993 he and his wife, Robin, branched out on their own, opening a gourmet Italian Market & take out establishment. They enjoyed twelve successful years establishing a name for themselves. After selling the market they opened Cappelletti Restaurant located at 3284 Noyac Road in the lovely hamlet of Noyac in Sag Harbor, New York just around the corner from the beautiful bay, known by the locals as Long Beach. This very special cozy restaurant quickly became the little darling of the east end. Luigi & Robin have created an inviting atmosphere so warm and friendly it feels like your sitting at Mamma's kitchen table! The incredible scents of Luigi's cooking permeates the air as you enter the little bistro. You know right away it is going to be a good, good meal. You begin to feel welcome and comfortable as you are brought to your table, you are certain you heard Robin invite you to take off your shoes and make yourself at home... you get a relaxed feeling inside yourself. The world outside fades away... and you know... this is going to be great. A quick glance reveals a nice little wine list! Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chianti, Rose, Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Super Tuscan... Or perhaps a nice smooth Kettle One Martini, Grey Goose rocks, or Absolut! Life at Cappelletti Restaurant is gooooood! The menu is extensive. All the comfort dishes jump off the menu, your stomach gurgles. Then you look at the evenings specials... Fresh Fish grilled and drizzled with on of Luigi's delicate reductions, Fresh veggies lightly sauteed, broccoli rabe, risotto... The list of enticing dishes goes on and on... Steamed mussels,steamed clams, fresh crisp salads, Fresh mozzarella, crabcakes! Tender, delicious, Grilled Rack of Lamb, grilled steaks and burgers! It is almost too much to bear! What to choose! You realize you will have to come back again and again and again to work your way through this incredible menu. You decide to start with a classic Martini and a Crabcake...share a salad with your dinner companion, then dive into those mouth watering homemade garlic rolls. Fresh Asparagus, Parmesan Reggiano Cheese, Aged Black Angus Steak, Fresh Fish, organic baby greens, virgin olive oil... Some of our homemade items include... Cheese & Spinach Ravioli, Cheese Cappelletti, Lobster Ravioli, Lasagna, pesto sauce, tomato sauce, marinara sauce, house dressing, Italian cheese cake, canolli, and tira mi su are all homemade. Our piccatas, marsalas, mushroom gravy, livornese, clam sauce, putanesca sauce, pistachio sauce are all prepared "alla minute" ...in the moment of preparation. Our Soups are incredible symphonies orchestrated by chef Luigi. Old world style Minestrone, hearty Pasta Fagiole, comforting Chicken Noodle, sensational Portobello Mushroom Potato. The list goes on and on. Chef Luigi arrives early each morning to prepare the days menu items with great care and consideration.
